Gerty Vos (1965) is a Dutch painter and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts St. Lucas, Belgium. Her work explores the tangible and intangible dimensions of identity and the relationship with the expression of color and fabrics in a painting. She reproduces fabrics realistically by skillfully handling oil paint, consistently examining the effects of sunlight on objects and textures. She wants to evoke the illusion of sunlight shining on the painting from behind the viewer. Gerty Vos graduated from St. Lucas Belgium.

She exhibits nationally and internationally, was a finalist in the 'Fine Art Competition' in New York, was nominated 4 times for Painting of the Year in the Netherlands, received the Jakunst Art Award in 2021 and 'Harmony for humanity: the Global Consciousness Art'  Prize in 2023 She is accepted into the 'Masters of Realism' in 2024; a group of contemporary Dutch artists who can carry this honorary title
